STEADY FULL AUTOMATIC MASTS
Telescopic masts with automatic blocking system
PATENTED BY FIRECO
The Super Steady telescopic mast in the Full Automatic version is an innovative and patented mast, equipped with a automatic locking, which saves the operator from having to manually unlock/lock each section.
The operator can work from a safe distance. The mechanical concept of the fully automatic Super Steady Full Auto mast has been combined with an electro-pneumatic control system with integrated safety devices, allowing operations via an electronic control box.
Depending on the needs or situations, the mast can operate in two modes:
- Automatic : for full mast extension and retraction
- Manuel : for manual extension and retraction of the mast.
Sections can be left in the fully extended position to allow the mast to support heavy payloads for long periods without pressurized air inside.
Emergency mode: in the event of a sudden power failure, the mast can be operated via an emergency rescue mode, allowing trained personnel to safely retract the mast.
LOCKING SYSTEM
The Full Automatic mast works with a control box which controls a set of electro-pneumatic valves installed in a box near the mast. The control box has an intuitive and simple interface with clear controls.
JACKS
The two pneumatic cylinders located on the mast allow the locking/unlocking of the outer section. They communicate directly with the control box and are both necessary for safe and correct use of the Full Automatic system.
SAFETY COLLAR
The main tube ring section collar is equipped with pneumatic actuators, which are directly driven by the control system. When the mast is deployed, they automatically lock the section; when the mast has to be retracted, the section cannot be unlocked if the air supply fails or if the internal pressure has not reached a sufficient value. As soon as these two conditions are met, the retraction procedure in automatic or manual mode can be launched in complete safety.
CONTROL BOX
The Full Automatic mast works with a control box which controls a set of electro-pneumatic valves installed in a box near the mast. The control box has an intuitive and simple interface with clear controls.
ELECTROPNEUMATIC BOX
The electro-pneumatic box contains the essential elements to move air in and out of the mast during regular operations and in manual mode. It contains the distribution valves, all solenoids and connections to supply power and air to the locking actuators on the outer tube.
PNEUMATIC POWER DISTRIBUTOR
The pneumatic supply splitter is a 3-way splitter. It is connected to the electro-pneumatic box and supplies air to the two pneumatic actuators.
MICRO SWITCH
The micro switch located on the main tube engages with an activation bracket attached to the mast head and signals the status of the mast (fully retracted / not fully retracted
